Bamboozle ("the App") is a free multiplayer trivia game. We respect your privacy and are committed to being transparent about the data we collect. This policy explains what information we gather, why we need it, and how we protect it.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address from your chosen provider. We use this solely to create and manage your account.

Profile Information

We generate a random avatar for your profile automatically. Your display name and avatar are visible to other players during games.

Game Data

We store your submitted answers, votes, and scores to run the game and maintain your lifetime points. This data is tied to your player profile.

Information We Do Not Collect

  • We do not collect your location
  • We do not access your contacts or phone data
  • We do not track you across other apps or websites
  • We do not sell or share your data with advertisers
  • We do not use analytics or tracking SDKs

How We Use Your Information

  • To create and authenticate your account
  • To display your name and avatar during games
  • To track your scores and lifetime points
  • To operate the multiplayer game in real time

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase, a hosted PostgreSQL platform with encryption at rest and in transit. Authentication is handled through Supabase Auth using industry-standard OAuth protocols.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Supabase — database, authentication, and real-time functionality
  • Google Sign-In / Apple Sign-In — account authentication
  • DiceBear — random avatar generation (no personal data sent)

Children's Privacy

Bamboozle is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Your Rights

You can:

  • Request a copy of your data
  • Request deletion of your account and all associated data
  • Sign out at any time — your data remains but is not actively used until you sign back in

Ads & Monetization

Bamboozle does not display ads and does not sell your data. The app is free to play.
